The consumer choice between electric and manual toothbrushes does not depend on the price of these toothbrushes. The share of electric toothbrushes in the total number of toothbrushes sold by a supermarket chain in May remained 20 percent – the same as the average share in the previous months – despite the supermarket chain having offered a discount of 50 percent on electric toothbrushes that month.
